You might encounter an issue where a user’s Polycom VVX phone rings for all calls even if it isn’t set to ring for parked calls or presence notifications.


To resolve the issue, you can change the phone's attendant ring in the local settings. However, changing the ring through a custom configuration won’t work because local configurations take precedence over custom ones.

To change a phone's attendant ring, use these steps:


  1. Press the Home button on the Polycom VVX phone.
  2. Go to Settings > Basic > Ring Type > Attendant Calls > Silent Ring.
  3. Press the Home button to exit the menu.


Note: Changing Attendant Calls to Silent Ring will also affect the “Ring my phone when any user I am monitoring rings” feature in the Presence settings.
